Championing Workers' Rights

As a democratic socialist, Senator Fateh knows the importance of workers in our society, strongly standing with workers and unions. He recently helped win historic protections for rideshare workers and also helped to effectively restore over 23,000 UMN workers' right to join a union.

Higher Education for All

As Chair of the Senate Higher Education Committee, Senator Fateh has fought for investing in our state's future with tuition-free college and our Minnesota higher education institutions. In 2023, Senator Fateh helped lead the fight for the North Star Promise, a law that grants a scholarship for tuition-free college for working-class families.

Climate Action & Environmental Justice

Senator Fateh knows we need to take action against Climate Change and fight for Environmental Justice. Senator Fateh supported the 100% Clean Energy Bill. He also opposed the demolition of the Roof Depot in East Phillips and supported the shut down of Smith Foundry. 

Healthcare For All

Healthcare is human right. Senator Fateh is fighting for Universal Healthcare for all Minnesotans. In 2021, Senator Fateh co-founded the Minnesota Health Plan Caucus, which formed to fight to pass the Minnesota Health Plan, a bill that would implement single-payer healthcare in Minnesota.
